Dorgan: Long Past Time To Change

The Senate unveiled its freedom to travel legislation in a well-attended press conference at noon today. According to the report in the Miami Herald, Senator Dorgan, the sponsor of the legislation, said it's long past time to change the policy:

Current U.S. policy ''has done nothing to weaken the Castro regime,'' said the bill's chief champion, Sen. Byron Dorgan, D-N.D. ``It's long past the time to change this ill-advised policy.''
