Lilia Lopez previously served as Program Officer for the Cuba program at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA).  In that role she analyzed developments in U.S. policy toward Cuba well as U.S.-Latin America relations more broadly. Prior to joining WOLA she was the Assistant Coordinator of the Casa de la Paz, a non-governmental organization in southern Mexico which seeks to promote the rights of the region's indigenous communities. 

She holds a B.S. in Journalism and International Studies from Northwestern University.
